2008 HHR – Retro vehicle, but there’s nothing retro about this install!
When Brodheadsville Chevrolet approached us about outfitting a new HHR with a custom installation and some high end audio gear, we knew we had to come up with something incredible to make them happy, after all, when the vehicle is finished it will reside in their showroom where everyone from the sales staff to customers would see it all day long. The high end audio equipment was a “no brainer”… Memphis Car Audio! But it was the installation that took me some time to come up with the final plan.
Anyone can put a painted box in the hatch of a vehicle and pop amps all over, but I wanted something to look like it belonged in the car, sound great, look great and maintain the vehicle’s cargo area, without risking any damage to the contents (cargo or audio wise) at all, and after all that… they also wanted to keep the spare tire accessible. What we came up with is a perfect blend of everything mentioned above, what is it? What will it look like? Well you will have to check back to view the progress of the build. We will be updating the blog regularly to reflect the current stage of the build.
