2008 HHR – Update #1
We have been very busy at the shop right now with Remote Starter season in full swing, so not much of a first update here. A major update will be coming very soon, until then, I will explain what you are looking at in the pictures above.
Since we are keeping the factory radio, we chose to use the new 6iX 6 channel line out converter from Memphis, this was wired in to give the cleanest signal possible to the amp(s). The 6iX also comes with a remote bass knob for easy adjustment of the subwoofer level. We custom mounted the bass knob & status l.e.d. in the factory dash bezel just above the radio.
For the front stage, we chose a set of the Memphis Music Class Sync series components. The midranges were mounted in the factory speaker locations in the front doors, while the tweeters were custom mounted in the a-pillars. The tweeters look great in these locations, and the swivel option still works as well.
The rear speakers are Memphis Music Class Coax’s and are mounted in the factory rear door locations.
Well that about wraps up this update on the HHR, check back often to see future updates.
