1977 Chevrolet Corvette gets an audio improvement

Corvette fullWhen this customer came to us to improve the sound in their 1977 Corvette, weCorvette logo knew that we were up to the task. The vehicle does not have a whole lot of room to work with and the customer was not interested in a lot of bass. They just wanted a great sound that they could hear over the roar of the engine.

Corvette DashWe showed the customer some options and they ended up choosing to go with a JVC Arsenal Deck, A Memphis Music Class 4 channel amp and Memphis 4×6 and 6×9 inch speakers. Since there was not any good location to mount the speakers to, we created a custom mounting location and integrated the amp rack into the speaker mounting. The speaker mounting/amp rack was upholstered in tweed to accent the install.

Corvette Amp RackWe used the very best Tsunami cables to connect everything. This ensured a seamless audio transfer from the deck to the amp. Dynamat was used at the speaker mounting locations to eliminate rattles.

What we ended up with was an excellent sounding Corvette that sacrificed very little of the nearly non-existent storage space.
