Vehicle Tracking Systems Protect You, Your Family and Your Property
Did you know that Mobile Edge in Lehighton sells and installs vehicle tracking systems? We sell full blown, professional tracking systems that allow you to monitor your family SUV or your company fleet. Our systems go way beyond the capabilities of LoJack. The uses for vehicle tracking are boundless. Protection, security, piece of mind, safety…. A tracking device can do all of this.
To better explain the usefulness of a quality tracking device, I thought I would describe the scenario surrounding a recent customer’s purchase. Names are changed to protect the innocent!
Charlie & Kelly have a daughter that just started driving. “Katie”, the daughter, is also working her first job and at a local fast food restaurant — which she leaves many nights after dark. With these factors in mind, Charlie & Kelly are extremely concerned about their daughter’s personal safety. As any concerned parent, they were searching for a solution to keep “Katie” safe, but they were not looking for a device that would make “Katie” feel like they didn’t trust her. We talked for a bit and I really got a good understanding of their concerns and expectations in a safety device. Here were their main concerns:
First , it was important to them that they could track “Katie’s” vehicle at any time. After doing some online research, they found many systems, like LoJack, required a police report to track the vehicle. This process would take far too long in an emergency situation –where every minute would count. Second, they were looking for way for Katie to contact them in a “panic” situation. Third, they knew their daughter had somewhat of “lead foot”. In this situation they had two concerns — obviously her safety, but also their insurance premiums if their daughter was ticketed for speeding.
After hearing Charlie and Kelly’s concerns, I recommended a system that addressed these concerns (and them some). The GPS safety system I recommended did everything they were looking for. Real-time vehicle locating 24/7 with no police reports. The system features an alerting system that notifies up to three people via cellular text message and/or email if an alert is triggered. A hidden “panic” button was to be custom mounted under the dash. If the “panic” button was pressed, it would send a silent alert that would text message mom and dad. With this alert, the parents could go online (or phone) and track their daughters exact location. Now they could send the appropriate help where their daughter needed it. The last concern was resolved by the speed alerting system. The parents could go online and create a maximum speed. If “Katie” goes over the speed, it would also text message them. Charlie & Kelly couldn’t be more happy — and “Katie” did not perceive the system as a breach of trust! Our system addressed their main concerns and some they had not thought of.
Mobile Edge has a variety of systems available for almost any application. If you own one vehicle or a fleet, we can help. Please email me or call 610-377-2730 and ask for Mitch.
