As of May 1, 2008, Mobile Edge has joined the Mobile Entertainment Source (M.E. Source) buying Group. M.E. Source is a branch of Brand Source, one of the nation’s largest consumer electronics buying groups.
What does this all mean? Simple… Through M.E. Source, Mobile Edge now has tremendous buying power. We get better prices on our inventory and will pass it directly through to our customers. Through our affiliation with Brand Source, we are offering Expert Protection extended warranties and no interest financing through GECAF. Many more additional services will soon follow.
Mobile Edge has always been a large dealer in Eastern PA. Now, with the backing of a nationwide buying groups, we are able to level the playing field with the big boxes. In most cases, by using regional warehouses, we are able to get in special orders overnight. Our prices will come down because of our buying power and we are offering many additional services such as financing and extended warranties.
Brand Source works with it’s dealers in much the same way as ACE hardware works with locally owned hardware stores. Mobile Edge is still a privately owned company. All of the staff is the same. The policies and customer service remain unchanged. What we’ve changed is how we buy our inventory. Buying better means lower prices to our customers and who wouldn’t like that?
