Mobile Edge Announces A new Line: Compustar Remote Car Starters

Mobile Edge is proud to announce that we are now a Compustar Pro dealer! Compustar offers a world class lineup of Remote Car Starters and security systems for most every vehicle. Compustar is owned by Firstech, a American company founded by Jason Lee in 1998. Since then, they have been first to market with many innovative remote car starter products:
- 2 way LCD remote
- RS232 Data Port
- Internet Updatable Brains
- Spread Spectrum with 1 mile range
- 900MHz
- 6 month two-way LCD battery life
- Cartridge style bypass kit – BLADE
Mobile Edge has made a name for ourselves by selling high quality remote car starters and installing them correctly since 1994. For most all of that time, we have sold and installed exclusively the Astrostart line. About 2 years ago, Astrostart was purchased by a huge conglomerate in the 12 volt industry. They have made may changes in product and in vendor programs. The direction of the company has become inconsistent with what Mobile Edge looks for in it’s vendors. In June of 2008, we made the difficult decision to stop carrying the Astrostart brand. This was a very tough choice, since we have developed a name, not only for Mobile Edge, but also for Astrostart in our local market. Being true to my business and to my customers, I knew that I had to make a switch.
I, personally, spent a good deal of the summer interviewing and researching other manufacturers. Initially, I narrowed my options down to 3 companies. After taking a good, hard look at Compustar, it was very clear that this was the company that I wanted to associate my name and my company with. They are a big company, but not so big that they are out of touch. They care about their customers and their end users. They are consantly looking for ways to innovate and make their products better.
Part of my research into finding a new line brought me to an industry forum that I belong to. This online forum is made up of store owners, sales people, installers, and manufacturers. I asked the membership to recommend a quality remote starter line. Compustar was recommended more than all other companies combined.
As a shop owner, I know that remote starters are a great product. I also know that they are not fun to troubleshoot when something goes wrong. It was very important that I found a company that offered a rock solid product. Mobile Edge has never been known as the cheapest place to buy a remote car starter. Our customers recognize that quality does come at a price. Fortunately, Compustar offers proven quality along with a reasonable price tag.
I am looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the team at Compustar.
