Eclipse CD5030 Offers Great Sound / Tons of Features

The Eclipse CD5030 has been on the market for a few months.  We’ve sold dozens of them.  My staff has told me how awesome this unit is, and I have used it on the board, but it was only yesterday that I actually took the time to really dig into the unit and see what the buzz was all about. I was amazed! This is what I found.

The CD5030 Offer most everything you could want in an in-dash device

First of all, the CD5030 SOUNDS fantastic.  Whether listening to the internal 50 watts/channel of power or with an external amp via the 5 volt preouts, the unit sounded fantastic.  Crisp and clear from highs to lows, the deck really brings out the best in whatever source you are listening to.

Speaking of sources, you have a lot to choose from:  CD, AM, FM, Bluetooth (A2DP), iPod*, MP3 player, Thumbdrive, HD Radio*, and Satellite Radio* (* additional parts required).  Let’s talk about a couple of these. For the low cost of an interface cable, you can have total control over your iPod or iPhone.  It will even charge the device while playing!  If your mobile phone or device has the Bluetooth A2DP protocol (streaming audio) you can stream your music right to the CD5030. No cable necessary! So if you have an iPhone, download the free Pandora app, set up a free Pandora account and stream your favorite artists right to your car audio system!  Very  cool!

Connect your iPod or iPhone with ease!

But what if you have a Zune or another MP3 player.  NO PROBLEM!  While you won’t be able to control the device from your radio, you can easily pipe your tunes through the CD5030 with the addition of a $10 RCA-headphone adapter.

You don’t have any one of these devices (get with it!)?  Go buy a $10 thumbdrive, put 500 of your favorite songs on it and plug it into the supplied USB cable.  You can play your choice of music at the press of a button of the CD5030 all while your thumbdrive is tucked safely in your glovebox!

Add an HD Radio tuner and get CD quality FM, iTunes tagging and more.  Add a Satellite Radio tune and listen to any of 100 stations at your will.  Of course, there is always CD, AM & FM!

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!  I saved one of the best things about the CD5030 for last!  The CD5030 is a fully functional Bluetooth handsfree kit with outboard microphone!  If your mobile phone is equipped with Bluetooth (and most all are today), you simply pair it to the CD5030 and your car audio system becomes your handsfree kit.  Answer a call by pressing a button on the radio.  See the caller ID on the CD5030 screen.  Scan your phonebook and make  a call from the deck (phone dependent).  Even browse your recent outgoing and incoming calls. The sound comes out of whatever speaker or combination of speakers that you want. And with a supplied microphone mounted near the rearview mirror, you will sound great to the people you are calling.  This is not a cheap version of a Bluetooth handsfree kit.  It is a fully functional, high quality device that will keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.  Great for new drivers and road warriors! Not to mention that it is likely going to be the law sometime soon in PA.  A handsfree kit of this quality would cost upwards of $400.

Your thinking “yeah, you’re bragging up this deck because it is your most expensive and you want to sell me a big ticket item…”  That’s what I would be thinking about now.  Guess what?  The Eclipse CD5030 is $299! Stream Pandora, Control your iPod, Bluetooth handsfree, and a great sounding radio… All for $299.

Mobile Edge has this on display and we are experts on the CD5030 (I am now… the guys have been experts since we got it!) .  Bring your iPhone and be sure to load the Pandora app (it’s free). Bring your iPod or MP3 player. Bring your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.  We will give you the complete tour of the CD5030.

I will go on record saying that this is the best sub $300 deck that I have ever sold. Stop in.  We love this stuff!
