Pontiac Vibe Gets Power Door Locks and Keyless Entry
Recently, we had a car dealer from Kutztown call us to do work. Apparently, they were not happy with their current shop and heard about us through word of mouth. They had a 2009 Pontiac Vibe that the customer wanted power door locks installed along with keyless entry.
This vehicle uses a newer locking system that uses cables instead of the traditional metal rods. This complicates the install since there is no simple way to attach to the cables. We solved this problem with a special adapter that allows the aftermarket door lock actuator to securely attach to the cable and pull it or push it when necessary.
All wiring was hidden out of sit and loomed in a factory manner. The switches were installed into the front doors and look factory. We used a Compustar keyless entry system and a Spal power door lock kit and switches.
By the time we were done, you would never know that this car did not come right out of the factory with power door locks and keyless entry. Click on any of the pictures below to learn more about the installation.
