If you have a 2017 or newer Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 or F-550 with the five-camera trailer towing package, Mobile Edge in Lehighton has an amazing solution to upgrade the system’s functionality. If you wish that your factory-installed camera system included blind spot monitoring or could remember which camera view you prefer, keep reading.
Blind Spot Monitoring Camera Functionality
This upgrade solution provides automatic triggering of the left and right cameras to act as a blind spot monitoring solution. When you activate either turn signal, the image from the corresponding camera mounted under the side mirror is displayed on the factory screen. If you’re concerned about monitoring vehicles traveling in adjacent lanes but just out of the driver’s field of vision, this is a great solution.
Selected Camera Retention
The second feature of this upgrade is selected camera retention. When you press the camera button on the dash, the system brings up the surround-view camera image by default. Once upgraded, you can change the camera image and the system will default back to that selection every time you press the camera button. The camera retention functionality also works with the camera trigger signal that is created when you put the transmission in reverse.
Navigation Lockout Override
Our Ford Super Duty camera upgrade solution includes an override for the navigation lockout. In most vehicles, you have to be stopped with the transmission in park to enter a navigation destination. After we’ve installed the camera upgrade, you can have your passenger enter a new destination, even when traveling on the freeway.
Expert Installation Services
As with all the upgrades we offer here at Mobile Edge, our team of full-time, on-site technicians is available to complete the programming and integration process. We never outsource our installations, and all work is done in our well-equipped installation facility.
We treat your vehicle like royalty when it’s in our possession. We use seat and steering wheel covers, and we apply protective tape to door edges, door sills and fenders if we’ll be in and out several times. We connect the vehicle to a battery charger to top it up, rather than let it run down with the doors open. There’s lots more we do, but these are just a few of the obvious steps we take to protect your vehicle.
