I have a 2007 Expedition, have not used the Car Starter/Alarm in a few years (lost remotes). Just returned from a 2 week vacation and battery was dead. When we charged the truck the alarm activated. System is a CompuStar A122, I can locate the system under the dash.
I cannot start the truck, battery is full. How do I deactivate the kill switch if I do not have the remotes?
Thanks
Marc
I am not familiar with that model number. I would recommend contacting Compustar’s tech support line. http://www.compustar.com
I live in NY, LI to be exact. Do you have dealers up here?
I want a remote start for my 2015 Lexus RX 350. I live in Md. Do you have experience installing remote starters for this brand. Which remote starter would you suggest?
Now I know who the brainy one is, I’ll keep lonikog for your posts.
I have a Compustar 2W901-SS installed, however there is a tall apartment block between my office and the parking structure. The parking structure is about 1/4 mile form my office. The range of this device is advertised to have a 1 mile range, yet I cannot start my vehicle from my office. Do you have any suggestions?
Whenever a manufacturer states a range, it is alway line of site without any environmental interruptions like building, RF interference, Fluorescent lighting, medical equipment etc. Parking garages and tall buildings are tough!
You might want to consider adding Drone Mobile to your system. This will allow you to start, lock, and unlock (and many other features) from anywhere where your vehicle can receive a cellular signal.
You can learn more about this here: https://www.mobileedgeonline.com/dronemobile/
Best of Luck
