A few months ago, I was contacted by the folks at Elettromedia USA. I had heard of them and knew that their brands, Hertz and Audison, were widely respected as the best that there is in car audio. The manufacture Amplifiers, Speakers and Subwoofers in Italy. I also knew that they were very exclusive and have less than 150 dealers nationwide. What a surprise it was when they called to investigate a partnership with Mobile Edge!
I spoke extensively with Ken Wiseman and Larry Frederick from Elettromedia USA. These guys have been in the car audio industry FOREVER and there are few people that are as talented at what they do. They felt that Mobile Edge represented what Hertz and Audison were all about: Quality above all else. I expressed my reservations about such a high end brand being successful in a rural town. Ken Wiseman shared with me that some of their most successful dealers are from small communities. As it stands, we have customers coming from all over Easter PA and it only makes sense to offer an ultra high end solution.

The more that we spoke, the more that it made sense. So, over the past few months, I have been working out all of the details. Perhaps the biggest challenge has been the fact that Elettromedia is so helpful and different than most manufacturers. They offered to put 2 large displays in our showroom as long as we dedicated a special area just for Hertz and Audison. We agreed and for the last couple weeks we have been planning an extensive renovation of Mobile Edge both inside and out. The project has begun and the displays and remodeling will be complete by August 9th! Our initial order of product has arrived and I anticipate having some of it on our current displays by the end of this week (July 26, 2008).

One issue that I personally felt the need to address was my relationship with my current vendors. I am extremely fortunate to be able to select the vendors that I want and not just the ones that I can get. We currently have a tremendous group of vendors. From Memphis and Eclipse to JVC Arsenal, all have proven to be exceptional business partners who offer rock solid, high performance product. The Addition of Hertz and Audison will compliment these lines and add credibility to Mobile Edge. We are not making any changes to our existing lineup and will continue to be a strong supporter of our existing vendors. Going forward, we will have the opportunity to offer a customer who wants the best stuff made, just that.

Hertz and Audison is not for the faint at heart. It offers exceptional performance and is pricier that our current offerings. From our experience and the many current Elettromedia dealers that I have spoken to, the additional price tag is worth it in every single instance.
With the addition of Hertz and Audison, we will be marketing to a more discerning clientele. We are working on introducing a new division to our business that will cater to the higher end client. As more details about this become available, I will post them on the site. Until then, please feel
