A client from Lehighton recently contacted Mobile Edge about options for 2017 Ram 1500 truck accessories to personalize his vehicle. We had a look at the client’s truck and talked about the options he wanted. We looked through several catalogs and websites with the client to find solutions that offered the features and styling that appealed to him. With a plan in place, we ordered the components for the project and scheduled an appointment to get them installed.
Heavy-Duty Side Steps
The first order of business was to install a set of Aries AdvantEDGE sidebars to match the 5.5-inch black bull bar that was already on the front of the truck. These new side steps mount to existing fastener locations and don’t require any drilling or permanent modifications. The steps are constructed out of aluminum and are powder-coated to ensure they won’t rust or corrode.
Fender Flares Add Protection
The next step was to install a set of Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares. These flares add an additional 2.6 inches of protection to the front of the truck and 2 inches on the back. While the truck already has upgraded wheels and tires, the client plans on purchasing an even larger set for additional ground clearance, performance, and style.
Just as with the side steps, the flares mount to existing fastener locations and don’t require any cutting or drilling that can lead to corrosion.
Billet Front Grille Insert
The last piece of the project was to install a Rough Country front grille insert that the client brought to us. The focal point of the grille insert is a 30-inch curved LED light bar that we wired up for the client. The light bar produces an impressive 14,400 lumens of light to ensure the client will be able to see safely on even the darkest of roads. The grille insert uses stainless steel hardware and features a corrosion-resistant matte black powder coat finish that matches the bull bar and side steps perfectly.
Ram 1500 Truck Accessories
After most of a day’s work installing these Ram 1500 truck accessories, it was time to turn the truck back over to the client. He was thrilled with the way the vehicle looked and was impressed with our neat and tidy wiring on the light bar.
