A repeat client from Lehighton brought his 2014 Ram 2500 work truck by for our team to help him install a backup camera to increase visibility and safety. He has been coming to our shop for years for his automotive upgrades, so we were his first choice to help him solve this problem.
His Ram work truck has boxes on the sides for carrying tools and other equipment. That’s great for hauling all of his gear, but the height and length of the boxes blocked his view whenever he was backing the truck up or maneuvering in parking lots. He wanted to get a camera, and a display for it, to help him see behind the truck for greater safety.
We chose an AIS UM73 “Super Wide” mirror that has a screen to show what the camera sees. We used a new tailgate handle with a built-in camera that has a wide angle to show the full width of the truck for a simple, durable solution that required no modification to the truck. Our technician routed the wires safely for long-term reliability.
